Fife Liberal Democrat leader Councillor James Calder asked a question of the Fife Council leader about his attendance at Scottish Cities Week. James Calder made the point about the people of Dunfermline needing to know about the positive impacts of this and asked for a briefing to be prepared.

James Calder said,

It is positive that through City Status we are able to promote Dunfermline and major events such as Scottish Cities Week. We will hopefully see investment in our city as a result.

It is really important that the people of Dunfermline understand about what work is taking place at these events to capitalise on City Status.

As it was part of the Council Leader’s Report, I asked for more information to be shared so we know what work is being done to support City Status.
