After Liberal Democrat Councillor for Dunfermline South James Calder raised the lack of bins on Queensferry Road in Dunfermline late last year, he is delighted that the Council’s Street Cleansing team are now installing them. 10 bins will be installed with 5 being placed on each side of the road.

Councillor Calder said,

Litter is always a problem, but hopefully in the Queensferry Road area of Dunfermline it will be reduced by the installation of these bins.

This was raised at a South Dunfermline Community Council meeting last year and I got in touch with the Street Cleansing team who took a look into where to install the bins.

I am delighted at their fast response on this, and the bins will be help ensure dog walkers and other members of the public walking along this section of road do not have to walk as far before they can dispose of their litter.
