Earlier this week we held a Conference in Dunfermline to help determine the future plan for capitalising on City Status for Dunfermline.

The event included many leading people from business groups, the local community and the Council and proved to be an excellent event.

We heard from a variety of speakers on what they would like to see from the City as well as splitting into working groups looking at a variety of themes including the economy, tourism, greenspace, health and wellbeing as well as inclusivity.

What was clear from the Conference is that we want to see both economic improvements but also improvements for the wellbeing of all of our residents.

I spoke at the event and made this clear, and the next steps will be to develop our vision based on the discussions that took place.

This will form our City Plan which will be our blueprint for making a success of City Status.
