Abbeyview and Touch Coalfields Event

by jamescalder on 26 April, 2018

Last night I attended an event held to provide an update on the Coalfields Regeneration funding for Touch and Rosyth. The event showed the inspiring ways this funding is helping the local community and I was delighted to hear some of the stories on how the funding has been used, from children to Over 60s groups.

For young people, funding has helped to support an IT project for the Abbeyview Kids Club and New Equipment for the Abbeyview Toddler Group. The Abbeyview Community Council have funding for restringing the Christmas lights, the Jolly 60s group and the Abbeyview Community Garden. Funding has also supported Feel Good Friday (provided by the Tryst Manaagement Committee)  and the Tuesday Family Fun Night.

It was great to hear from all the groups involved and also to see the difference this funding is having for the local community.
