At one of the displays

This weekend we have an exciting event taking place in Dunfermline- Defend Dunfermline. This event, which has been supported by Fife Council, is designed to show the history of the Second World War in Dunfermline.

The event is involving a lot of businesses in Dunfermline centre, including many of the shops. A trench system has been recreated, there is a museum exhibition and tomorrow there will a parade. A war gaming event is also taking place.

I have visited some of this today and would recommend that if you have the chance to take a look at some point this weekend. It shows an interesting piece of our local history.
