Flytipping Problems Continue

by jamescalder on 16 January, 2018

Over the past few months we have had serious issues with flytipping in the ward. The Duloch Tesco and Abbeyview Recycling facilities have been particularly bad examples, and I am glad the Council is placing CCTV at the Duloch Tesco recycling.

Flytipping issues have also been brought to my attention at the wooded area between Pitcorthie and Pitreavie Golf Club. This is obviously unacceptable and some of it appears to have come from contractors deposing of materials. As such I have asked the Council Community Safety team to get involved and they are looking into this.

Once again though I would urge the minority that do this to stop. It is all of our money that it is being used to deal with this and it is leading to less resources towards maintaining the rest of our area. I also would like to ask people who have encountered this to report it to either myself or directly to the Council.
