Last week myself and the manager for Parks, Streets and Open Spaces met around 25 residents who live near the burn in Pitcorthie. Over the past year I have had a number of complaints about the burn being overgrown and issues with rats around the area.

We took a walk along the burn and then had a Question and Answer session. It was clear this was an issue that many people locally were unhappy about.

The conclusions of the meeting were that more needed to be done by Pest Control for dealing with the rat issue. Also I am hopiing to work with Parks, Streets and Open Spaces to give the burn a cleanup as it is currently overgrown and this will not be helpful in dealing with the rat problem either.
