Tomorrow there will be a meeting which will have a major impact on the Out of Hours GP Services Across Fife. The meeting will make a decision to launch a consultation which will feature the future of this service.

There are plenty of concerns about this from across Dunfermline and West Fife, as I have raised. The proposed consultation will include 2 options for this service. One would be for the Overnight Out of GP Service to be completely removed from the Queen Margaret Hospital and this would lead to the service existing only in the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy. The other option would maintain the service in Dunfermline, and is obviously my preference.

It is important that everyone concerned about this, politicians or otherwise, stay involved in this. If it goes to Consultation I would urge everyone to respond to this.
