Today the latest meeting of the West Fife Common Good Sub-Committee took place. Today’s discussions included funding to support the work on restoring Culross pier, celebrations of the bicentenary of the current Dunfermline Abbey parish church and also a digital-speed sign in Townhill,

All 3 proposals were unanimously supported by Councillors. Having seen the results of the work so far in Culross I was quite pleased to support this project, as it provides a wonderful place to visit for both locals and tourists alike. On the Abbey, this is to celebrate two hundred years since the tomb of Robert the Bruce and the current Abbey church being built. Once again I think this will help to highlight the local area and will be something for all to look forward to.

On another note there has been an application for support in the Dunfermline South ward for the Abbeyview Park Community project. This will be to improve the park at Abbeyview through stencil themes designed and voted for by local children and families. As this will be a great addition for the local area, I was happy to indicate my support.
