After being contacted by a local resident, I have liaised with Council staff to deal with an issue related to grit being contaminated. During one of the icy spells at the end of 2017, local residents used the grit bin on their street but found later it had been contaminated by red chipstones which made a mess of the street.

After contacting Parks, Streets and Open Spaces a considerable part of the mess has been cleaned up. The Council teams will also be replacing the grit in the grit bin to ensure this is not repeated. If there are other areas where there is issues with grit please let me know.
