Amazon Lorries

by jamescalder on 18 November, 2017

A number of residents, living in areas along Aberdour Road, Carnegie Avenue, Sanderling Drive and Lapwing Drive, have told Councillor James Calder about their concerns about lorries driving along the road throughout day and night and being very noisy. James Calder has been in contact with Amazon.

James Calder has said, “Many residents have raised their concerns regarding so many lorries driving to Amazon. I have been liaising with Amazon and I think their response has been positive. They have been directing lorries to go to the Halbeath Motorway Entrance, they have been looking at putting up signs on the Motorway directing lorries to that entrance too and they have also asked me to ask people to let them know about any lorries they see taking the routes through residential areas. If you see any please let me know.”

“I am also pleased that Amazon have leased temporary parking to reduce the number of lorries parking on the road. A few people have also contacted me about this and I hope to see a fall on this soon.”
